So Nice to Meet You
Hi, I'm Erika. I am a mother, End of Life Doula, Volunteer Coordinator for Hospice and Tarot enthusiast. The experiences that lead me to learn about the practice of Tarot were unexpected and heart-breaking. It was at this time of loss that I was called to dig deeply within myself. The journey and story of the Tarot began to fill in blanks.
The cards are a way to connect with our higher powers in whichever way/s one believes. At its most powerful, I believe Tarot offers spiritual guidance to challenge, encourage and inspire one towards ones truest self. At the least, guidance can spark a new thought, conversation or pause. Whether it’s a baby step or giant leap, we are always moving forward. Checking in with spirit through a Tarot reading helps shape an earthly path aligned with our highest powers.

What if we could find and connect to our soul’s purpose? Thich Nhat Hanh the Zen Buddhist spiritual leader said simply, “No mud, no lotus.” What does it mean to become one with our own mud? To root down into it, allowing stems to be nourished and pushed up from the bottom? What does ones transformation look and feel like? How can one find clarity above the water to blossom? We all have the capacity and inner strength to create beautiful and powerful transformations within ourselves. However immense a feat it will be, it literally takes a lifetime.

I began studying Tarot in 2013 with my teacher and mentor, John Marani. John is a certified Tarot Master and Astrologist in Northern Virginia. I gained a deep, classical knowledge of the cards from him. In 2020, I began a new journey with Tarot, and became a student of Lindsay Mack creator of Tarot for the Wild Soul. I felt deeply drawn to her soul centered, trauma informed, inclusive approach to reading Tarot. When I offer Soul Tarot, it is in Lindsay's specific language and meanings.
I am excited to learn and grow by sharing what Tarot means to me with you.
I support mental health awareness, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, diversity, inclusion and trainings from Artic, local businesses and financial inclusivity by way of Kiva.org, the American Red Cross and affiliates, Giving What We Can movement, the GiveWell Fund, humanity and compassion at large.
